About the Position
Capital Workspaces, with locations in Bethesda, MD and Northwest DC, is growing and looking for a motivated Community Associate to join our team.
We have an immediate opening for someone who enjoys working with people, creating a welcoming community, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a coworking environment. This position will work across both our Bethesda and Northwest DC locations.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting members in a friendly, patient, and professional manner.
- Onboard new members, including activating and distributing keys, printing accounting numbers, and answering new member questions.
- Manage local vendors and maintenance teams.
- Input and maintain accurate data across billing, customer data, inventory, and other platforms.
- Maintain high occupancy rates.
- Create a sense of community among members.
- Generate monthly reports to summarize location analytics.
Sales & Marketing Initiatives
- Devise and execute local marketing strategies to generate leads.
- Follow up frequently with prospective members and document activity in CRM and marketing platforms.
- Conduct sales tours with prospective members.
- Negotiate member deals and local discounts.
- Manage business social media accounts.
Community Initiatives
- Manage community initiatives designed to develop member relationships.
- Plan monthly events, seasonal parties, and member events.
- Centralize member communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, or business operations.
- Computer-literate and comfortable using CRM systems, Google Workspace, and online platforms.
- Comfortable speaking, selling, and growing the community.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Self-starter, quick learner, and confident.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Warm and approachable.
- Reliable.
- Professional demeanor.
- Prior leadership and hospitality experience is a plus.
- Drive to take initiative and make things happen.
- Interested in serving others before yourself.
